# Questions

Questions grouped by where they arise in a repair, each one owned by exactly one page so the same answer never appears twice in structured data. These are the questions asked at the counter, which is why several of them have answers an owner will not enjoy reading.

## Each question is owned by exactly one page on this site

A question here belongs to a single route, and its structured data is emitted only on that route. Nothing is duplicated across pages to catch a second search result. That is a constraint the data layer enforces rather than an editorial habit, and it exists because a site answering the same question in four places is a site that will eventually answer it four different ways.

For a reader that has a practical effect. If a question about supplements lives on the supplements page, the answer here is the short form and the page that owns it carries the reasoning. Following the link is not a detour, it is where the argument actually is, and the version on this page is deliberately the compressed one.

## The grouping follows the repair, not the alphabet

Questions are arranged by where in a repair they arise, which means the money questions are not all together and neither are the technical ones. What an owner asks standing in the intake bay is different from what the same owner asks on day fourteen when a number has moved, and grouping by moment puts the right answers next to each other.

Read the group that matches where you are and ignore the rest. Somebody who has not had an incident yet has no use for the settlement mechanics group, and somebody whose coach is already in refinish has passed the point where the shop selection group changes anything. The one group worth reading early regardless is the documentation group, because its value expires.

## Several answers here are ones an owner would rather not read

The estimate you were given before teardown is a hypothesis and it will probably move. Your deductible is owed to the shop rather than to the carrier. On a mass produced trailer with structural damage, taking the settlement is frequently the right call. A discontinued moulded part may not exist at any lead time. A supplement adds days because it is a second negotiation on a claim the carrier believed was closed.

Those answers are here in that form because the alternative is worse. A question answered reassuringly on a website and then answered honestly across a counter three weeks later produces an owner who no longer believes anything either document said. A question that has to be softened to be publishable is a question this shop would rather answer plainly and lose the reader who wanted a different answer.

## The questions this page will not answer

No question here is answered with a repair figure for an unseen vehicle. What will my repair cost is not answerable from a description, and answering it anyway with a number is how an owner ends up feeling misled by an estimate that was always going to be different. The band table and the calculators go as far as arithmetic honestly goes, and the estimate itself is written against the vehicle.

Two more are absent. Nothing here asserts how long your specific repair will take, because the day axis publishes ranges and a range is the honest artifact. And nothing here makes a statement about remedy after delivery, because this site does not carry a document of that kind at all. What replaces it is described on the page about how the work is held to a standard, which is a description of a record rather than an entitlement.

## Where the questions on this page came from

These are not questions written by somebody imagining what an owner might ask. They are drawn from what owners actually typed and said, deduplicated and rewritten so each one appears once in the words most people use for it. That is why some of them are blunt, and why a few of them ask for services this shop does not perform.

Those last ones were kept on purpose and answered No. A question list that quietly omits everything the business declines is a sales document rather than a reference, and an owner who drives to Yorba Linda to be told no at the counter has been failed by the page they read first. Answering the awkward ones costs a little traffic and saves somebody a wasted morning.
