RV, trailer and commercial collision repair for Laguna Niguel owners
OCRV Center repairs collision, structural, fiberglass, roof, slide out and RV systems damage for Laguna Niguel owners of motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, camper vans and commercial trucks. Work is completed in shop at a 35,000 square foot facility in Yorba Linda, labour rates are published, and 16 carriers are billed direct.

Three ways a repair starts
- Drive it in
- Insurance walk-ins are welcome. Bring the policy and the claim number if you have one. We write the estimate while you are here.
- Send photographs first
- Six photographs, from each corner and close on the damage, gets you a real conversation before you drive up from Laguna Niguel. Use the request form.
- It is not drivable
- Tell us where it is and we coordinate transport to the shop. There is no mobile repair: a frame bench and a full length booth do not travel.
Insurance walk-ins are welcome and we write the estimate. Bring the vehicle, your policy and your claim number. An RV systems estimate covering slides, awnings, water, electrical or a generator is $150, credited against an authorised repair.
Day 0 to delivery
A collision repair is a sequence with a carrier in it. Every stage below says what we do, what your carrier does, what you have to do, and what it costs you at that point. The ranges are honest ranges, not promises, because a bumper skin and a rolled coach are the same line on a menu and nothing alike in the bay.
- Day 0
Arrival, and the photographs that decide everything later
- We do
- We photograph the coach before anything is touched, from every corner, then close on each damaged area with a scale reference in frame. That set is the file. We write the visible damage and note where we expect to find more.
- Your carrier does
- Opens the claim and assigns a number and an adjuster. Depending on the carrier, that adjuster either visits, asks for our photographs, or accepts a photo estimate.
- You do
- Bring the policy, the claim number if you already have one, and the keys. Tell us what you heard and felt at the moment of impact. It is often the only clue to damage nobody can see yet.
- Cost at this point
- Nothing beyond your deductible obligation, which you owe the shop, not the carrier. Insurance walk-ins are welcome and we write the estimate.
- Day 1 to 3
Teardown, and why the number moves
- We do
- Panels come off. On a coach that means the cap, the sidewall skin, or the slide face, depending where it was hit. We measure structure against published tolerance and photograph everything the first estimate could not see, then write a supplement.
- Your carrier does
- Reviews the supplement. This is the step that adds days, because a supplement is a second negotiation on a claim the carrier thought was settled.
- You do
- Nothing, other than answer the phone once. If your carrier calls you before they call us, tell them to call us.
- Cost at this point
- Still your deductible. A supplement changes the carrier's exposure, not yours, unless the work moves outside what your policy covers.
- Day 4 to 10
Structure, parts, and the wait nobody can shorten
- We do
- Frame and structural work happens first, because everything cosmetic sits on top of it. Meanwhile we order. On a coach out of production, or an obsolete cap, this is where the honest answer is that fabrication is faster than sourcing.
- Your carrier does
- Approves parts, and sometimes asks for aftermarket or used where the policy permits it. On a discontinued part they usually accept fabrication once we document that the part does not exist.
- You do
- Decide about anything you want done while the coach is already open. A cabinet or a floor is far cheaper now than as its own job later.
- Cost at this point
- A 50 percent deposit applies at authorisation on any job over $2,000. Special order parts need a 100 percent deposit at order, which is non refundable because the part is yours the moment it ships.
- Day 11 to 20
Paint, and the reason we match on the panel
- We do
- Prep, seal, then colour. We match on the panel rather than from a paint code, because a code tells you what left the factory and a fifteen year old coach in Southern California sun is not that colour anymore. Then blend into adjacent panels so the repair has no edge.
- Your carrier does
- Pays refinish hours from the estimate. A blend into an undamaged panel is often the line an adjuster questions, and it is also the line that decides whether the repair is visible in daylight.
- You do
- Nothing. If you want to see it before clear goes on, say so now and we will call you.
- Cost at this point
- Paint supplies calculate at $55 per paint hour and appear on your estimate automatically. Sales tax of 7.75 percent applies to parts and materials. Labour is not taxed.
- Day 21 plus
Systems, calibration, and the check before you see it
- We do
- Reassembly, then everything that has to work rather than just look right: slide travel and sync, seals, roof seal integrity, water test, and ADAS calibration where the vehicle needs it after a structural repair. The scan report goes in the file.
- Your carrier does
- Settles. On a direct billed carrier that happens without you touching it. On others they issue a cheque, sometimes to you and the lienholder jointly, which adds a week nobody warns you about.
- You do
- Look at it in daylight, not under shop lights, and open every slide yourself before you sign.
- Cost at this point
- The final balance is due at pickup. No vehicle leaves the property until it is paid in full. A 3.5 percent surcharge applies to card payments over $1,000.

Posted rates
Publishing a labour rate is unusual in this trade. It is here because the alternative is a conversation where you cannot tell whether a quote is high, and because a rate is the only number in a repair that does not change after teardown.

Insurance walk-ins are welcome and we write the estimate. Bring the vehicle, your policy and your claim number.
The minimum repair order is $500. Individual line items can be less than that and often are, but they ride inside an order that reaches it. Inspections, the systems estimate and diagnostic time are priced separately and each is credited against an authorised repair.

What we do not do

- Engine, transmission or drivetrain rebuilds.
- DOT inspections or emissions testing.
- Fleet route service.
OCRV Center serves Laguna Niguel from a single 35,000 square foot facility in Yorba Linda. There is no second location and no mobile unit, which is deliberate: frame benches, a full length paint booth and lift capacity for a Class A coach do not travel.
For a Laguna Niguel owner that means one drive north and then one point of contact for the entire repair, rather than a coach that gets shuttled between a body shop, a paint shop and an RV systems specialist.
Question log
How soon can you start work on my RV after a collision?
Usually within a few days of authorisation, and often the same week if the coach is drivable. What sets the real start date is not our bay space, it is how quickly your carrier assigns an adjuster and approves the first estimate. Bringing photographs and a claim number on the first visit removes the slowest step.
Do you work directly with insurance companies?
Yes. 16 carriers are billed direct, including Progressive, GEICO, State Farm, AAA SoCal, Mercury, Allstate and Liberty Mutual. We write the estimate, submit the supplement after teardown, and handle the back and forth. In California you choose the repair facility, not your carrier.
How long does RV collision repair usually take?
A bumper or a single panel is often one to two weeks. A cap replacement, structural work or a full repaint runs four to twelve weeks, and the two things that stretch it are supplement approval and parts on a coach that is out of production. We give a range at authorisation and update it when teardown tells us more.
Do you offer free estimates?
No. Insurance walk-ins are welcome and we write the estimate as part of the claim. Outside a claim, an RV systems estimate covering slides, awnings, water, electrical or a generator is $150, and an in depth diagnostic is one hour at $285. Both are credited against an authorised repair, so the money comes back if you proceed.
Do you come to me, or offer mobile repair?
No. All work happens at the Yorba Linda facility, which is deliberate rather than a limitation: a frame bench, a full length paint booth and lift capacity for a Class A coach do not travel. If the vehicle is not drivable we coordinate transport to the shop.
What does it cost to repair delamination on a sidewall?
Between $1,500 and $20,000 or more, across roughly ten to a hundred hours. The spread is real, because the question is never the bubble you can see. It is how far the adhesive has released behind it and whether the substrate underneath is still sound. A twenty minute tap test at intake answers that before anyone commits to a number.
Can you fix a slide out that sticks or leaks?
Yes, and the two are usually the same problem seen from different sides. Slide out mechanism service runs $500 to $8,500 depending on the system, Schwintek and Lippert In-Wall being the common ones. Seal replacement alone is $400 to $3,000. We check rail sync before replacing a motor, because the motor is rarely the fault.
Is my aftermarket solar and lithium build covered?
It can be, but only if it is documented before the loss. Carriers pay for what they can see in a file. If you have receipts, photographs and an install description, bring them, because reconstructing the value of a custom build after damage is far harder than proving it beforehand.
How far is the shop from Laguna Niguel?
The facility is at 23281 La Palma Ave in Yorba Linda, reached from Laguna Niguel on I-5 north then SR-91 east. It is one drive, and then one point of contact for the whole repair, rather than a coach shuttled between a body shop, a paint shop and an RV systems specialist.
What happens if my carrier says the coach is a total loss?
Ask what comparable units they used and on what date. A total loss call is arithmetic against a market value, and on a coach with a custom build or an unusual floorplan that arithmetic is frequently wrong. We document what the unit actually is, which is often what reopens the valuation.
