OCRV Center

Laguna Niguel, CA

About this shop

OCRV Center is a 35,000 square foot collision and repair facility at 23281 La Palma Ave in Yorba Linda, serving Laguna Niguel and Orange County. Body, paint, structural, fiberglass, roof, slide out and RV systems work is completed in shop, with labour rates published.

One building, four trades

The shop is a single facility rather than a network. Body and structure, refinish, RV systems and interior joinery all happen in the same building, which is why a coach here does not get shuttled between a body shop, a paint shop and a systems specialist.

It is licensed by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair under ARD00288521 and holds EPA number CAL000367879. Both are published because a shop publishing its own licence numbers is normal and a shop that will not is worth asking about.

Why the rates are on the website

Publishing a labour rate is unusual in this trade. It is here because the alternative is a conversation in which you cannot tell whether a quote is reasonable, and because the rate is the one number in a repair that does not change after teardown.

The price bands are published for the same reason. They are wide because the work genuinely varies, not because the number is negotiable, and a wide honest range is more use than a narrow invented one.

The limits, stated up front

No mobile, roadside or on site service. No engine, transmission or drivetrain rebuilds. No DOT inspections and no emissions testing. No second location.

Those are deliberate. The equipment that makes this shop useful, a frame bench, a full length booth and lift capacity for a Class A, does not travel, and a shop claiming to do everything everywhere is describing a dispatch service rather than a repair facility.

Who actually makes the drive to Yorba Linda

Four groups, and they want different things. Owners mid claim, who mostly need somebody to tell them what happens next and in what order. Owners with a leak they have been watching for a season and have finally stopped ignoring. Owners planning something, a repaint, a remodel, a solar install, who have time and a budget. And working fleets, where the vehicle earns money and the calendar matters more than the estimate.

The first group is the one this site is mostly written for, because it is the group with the least information and the most at stake. Somebody planning a remodel can take a week to read. Somebody whose coach is on a flatbed cannot.

How a scope gets settled when the honest answer is expensive

The awkward conversations in this trade are all the same conversation: the repair is larger than the owner budgeted, and there is a cheaper version that looks identical for a while. Skinning over soft substrate, sealing a bead that has already released, flooring over a wet subfloor. Each of those is a real quotation somebody will give you.

The position here is to write what the repair actually is, write the reduced scope where a reduced scope is defensible, and refuse the one that only hides the problem. That costs work. An owner who wanted the cheap version and was told no frequently goes and gets it somewhere else, and we are not going to pretend that never happens.

The relationship with Laguna Niguel

Laguna Niguel is the city this shop is written for and the facility is not in it. That is stated plainly on every page because the alternative, implying an address that does not exist, is the most common piece of dishonesty in local service marketing and it wastes a customer's morning when they discover it.

The drive is up I-5 and east on SR-91, and it is a drive owners make once at the start of a repair and once at the end of it. What makes that worth doing is that the coach stops moving after it arrives. A closer shop that subcontracts the frame, the laminate and the paint will have the vehicle on the road more often than you are.

Choices this site makes that most competitors do not

No star rating and no aggregate score appears anywhere here, including in the structured data behind the pages, because a rating that does not correspond to a real countable set of reviews is a fabrication. No stock photographs of other people's coaches appear in the galleries. No individual staff names, titles or portraits appear anywhere, because a page of invented people is worse than an honest gap.

Prices are published, including the wide ranges, because a wide honest range is more use than a narrow invented one. The things the shop declines to do are listed as prominently as the things it does. None of that is unusual behaviour in a trade. It is unusual behaviour on a website, which says more about websites than about the trade.

  • Labour rates published, not quoted on request
  • Price bands published with the hour ranges behind them
  • Licence numbers published and verifiable with the Bureau of Automotive Repair
  • A written list of the work this shop turns away
  • No fabricated reviews, ratings, staff profiles or stock imagery

What the licences actually cover

The Bureau of Automotive Repair registration governs how an estimate is written, how authorisation is obtained before work begins, and what a customer is entitled to see at the end. It is the reason nothing here gets cut or ordered before a sheet is signed, and it is enforceable by somebody other than us, which is the part that matters.

The EPA number covers refrigerant handling and the disposal of materials that come out of a repair. Hazmat and disposal appears on estimates as a $45 flat charge when chemicals, refrigerant or LP are involved, and that line exists because the material genuinely has to go somewhere lawful rather than into a skip.
